Tony Clarke, founder and President of Airdale Brewing, has had a fascination with flying from an early age.  He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was selected to be a Naval Aviator in 1999.  He has flown the SH-60F and HH-60H Seahawk helicopter in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, as well as spending a tour of duty as an instructor pilot in San Diego, California.  Also an avid homebrewer, he has been inspired by the amazing craft beer culture in San Diego to make this his new career.  With the convergence of aviation and craft brewing in San Diego, it was obvious to him that a great opportunity existed to create great beer for those who choose to take to the skies.

David Lusk, Brewmaster at Airdale Brewing, developed a passion for good beer after his first pint of Guinness.  On his 22nd birthday his siblings bought him a home brewing kit and the rest is history. This first foray into brewing beer would inspire an adventurous career in professional craft brewing. His career has spanned over ten years and his beers have garnered him high recognition.  The first commercial competition he entered won best of show at the California State Fair in 2003.  Additionally, he has been recognized at past national beer festivals as an award winner.  Dave is looking forward to continue brewing great beer with Airdale Brewing in San Diego County.
